About Blood Oath Pact No. 9 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Each year, a new Blood Oath Pact is released. These annual expressions (called “Pacts” by Blood Oath founder John Rempe are limited-edition whiskeys that don’t favor one distillery or follow a strict philosophy. Instead, Rempe seeks out delicious rare whiskeys ― either forgotten or famous ― in an indiscriminate quest for the finest spirits. Pact No. 9 is a blend of 3 high-rye straight bourbons. The first is an oaky 16-year-old, the second a rich 12-year-old, and the third a 7-year-old that was finished in oloroso sherry casks from the Sherry Triangle region in Southwest Spain. Bottled at 98.6 proof, it’s a well-crafted bourbon with sweet sherry notes, dark fruit, molasses, chocolate, and tobacco.

About Blood Oath
John Rempe has been developing and blending spirits and beverages for over 20 years — Rempe, who serves as Luxco’s Director of Corporate Research and Development, has a B.S. in Biology and is a Certified Food Scientist, and helped developed some of Luxco’s most well-known whiskey brands such as Rebel Yell and Ezra Brooks. Rempe believes that blending whiskies comes with the luxury of not being tied down to a single distillery, which provides unlimited options for exploring and creating the exact flavor profile he’s seeking.
About Bourbon
There are not many things more American than bourbon, and although most of it is produced in Kentucky, it can be produced all over the USA.
It must be made with at least 51% corn and bottled at 40% ABV or higher. So why not give this American classic a try?
